Scale

An interactive exhibition exploring relativity and perspective at Art Nouveau, Brixton

This shop-space at the heart of Brixton played host to 5 days of workshops, music, film nights and art. We had a body-drawing workshop from Heather Bandenberg, worked with local kids to construct a tiny cardboard city, saw fantastic short films from local artists including Miles Chapman and Mark O’Sullivan and had an evening of live music and poetry featuring the wonderful To The Moon, all hosted in our pop-up gallery. We were also showing work that explored ideas of scale and perspective, tiny scenes inhabiting living bodies, experiments in geometry, and two huge polystyrene mountains filled with miniature devotees filling the windows.

My collaborator on this project, Jacob V Joyce, is a fantastic emerging artist whose work combines activisms, arts and marginalised narratives.
